June 4th House Vote day of Action
#TPSJustice and #DreamandPromiseNow

On Tuesday June 4th the Dream and Promise Act will take the floor and congress will vote to pass this onto the Senate. It’s important that A) that all members of congress support this piece of Legislation and B) That this bill passes with no further amendments. TPS Holders must speak out and ensure that every member of congress votes to support permanent protections for TPS, DED & DACA families.

Talking Points:

Congress should have the courage of TPS families and vote to ensure permanent protections.

Our time is running out, our lives are not bargaining chips have the courage to protect TPS families.

What can we do?

  1. Post on Social Media
    • Download this poster, take a picture with it and post it on social media.
    • Add a sentence caption explaining why it’s so important to move this bill forward.
      Example: My name is Helen, I am a mother of 3 US citizen children and have been under TPS since 1999. After building a family in the United States I can tell you there is nothing Temporary about my life and family. I encourage all my friends and family members under TPS to share their story and urge our members of congress vote yes on #DreamandPromiseNow
    • Tag your elected officials & allies
  2. Record a video
    • Use your phone to record a short 20 second video expressing urgency for passage of Dream & Promise act
    • Tell your story, who are you, what is your status & call on your congress member to be courageous and vote in favor of permanent protections.
    • Post on Social Media & Share on Whatsapp to your family and friends
    • Tag your elected officials & allies, ask them to do the same.

  3. Call your member of Congress and ask them to stand with TPS, DED, and DACA holders.

Families, communities and the nation would hurt if no permanent solution is reached. We urge Representative ____ to show courage as we have and support HR 6 without harmful additions to the bill that would further harm our families.

YOUTH/US Citizen Child:
Hello, my name is _____. I live in ______ and I am child of a TPS holder. I am calling to let Representative _______ know that my family urges the
Representative to vote for the Dream and Promise Act on June 4. It is urgent that TPS, DED, and DACA families be protected, otherwise thousands of
families like mine will continue to be vulnerable to family separations and thousands of U.S citizen youth will be faced with having to raise their siblings alone or be forced to live in countries they do not know. We urge Representative ____ have the courage and support HR 6 without harmful
additions to the bill that would further harm our families.
