TPS Alliance Calls on Democrats to refuse support for any final Reconciliation Deal which excludes Green cards for Migrant Families

Washington DC- In response to a recent declaration from Rep. Lou Correa (D-CA), saying that he is committed to following Rep. Jesús “Chuy” García’s (D-IL) refusal to support any final reconciliation deal which excludes permanent protections for migrant families, Claudia Lainez of the National TPS Alliance made the following remarks:

“Democratic leadership must reaffirm their commitment to our families, and fight for any alternative which would guarantee permanent protections. We welcome the commitment of Representatives Correa and García, and expect that if Democratic leadership is truly committed to standing with migrant families, than more must follow in their footsteps and refuse any final deal that does not include permanent residency for Dreamers, TPS Holders, Farmworkers and Essential workers.”- Claudia Lainez, TPS Holder, Regional Organizer for the National TPS Alliance
